This post is more or less a follow-up to last week's post. Besides enjoying safe online shopping, you might as well get the best deals and biggest discounts available and the sites I've listed will help you do just that. All the sites are for Canadian and American shoppers - Retailmenot.com has discount information for Int'l shoppers and TopCashback has a UK site.
Retailmenot.ca (Can.) or Retailmenot.com (USA)
International coupons on Retailmenot.com for UK, Germany, France, India, Australia and the Netherlands.
Retailmenot.ca is optimized for the Canadian shopper, giving shoppers access to both Canadian and US retailers and providing them with the necessary shipping, duty and currency information. Retailmenot provides coupons, promo codes, and discounts for thousands of stores, including:

I have just discovered this site myself but haven't actually used it. However, since it has an 8.8/10 user rating I would feel quite comfortable shopping through them. According to their website, their fundamental aim is to save consumers money on all their online shopping. TopCashback is free to join, free to use and free to cash-out (as often as you want).
You can get moneyback rebates from TopCashback at over 2,600 stores including Walmart, Best Buy, Target, GiftCards.com, Restaurant.com, Overstock.com, Bloomingdale's and so many more. They also offer a big selection of coupons, offering extra instant money-off discounts and free shipping, to use in conjunction with earning cashback.
TopCashback quote: "TopCashback is an ethical company and lives by the motto "do as you would be done by". We extend this way of operating to all of our members, stores and partners, and hope you'll find it extremely fun and financially rewarding by shopping through us".

FREESHIPPING.CAN or FREE SHIPPING USA
Free shipping provides free shipping and coupon codes from retailers such as Best Buy, Home Depot, Amazon, Root, Hudson's Bay, Black Label Boutique and more.
This is a great starting place for online shopping. Besides the free shipping they also offer discount coupon codes to further cut the price of the order. Restrictions do apply.
One of the big disadvantages of Online shopping used to be the shipping costs. With coupon codes from FreeShipping this no longer needs to be a deterrent.

I enjoy shopping online and if this can be combined with finding more ways to save money, then that's just bonus - plus it gives me more money-saving ways to share with all of you.
Talk to you again next week,
Lenie

Great info Lenie! I haven't heard of Top Cashback but will surely check them out. Like I said last week, I am the quintessential armchair shopper! I have a feeling you'll be providing me some great information here :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lenie. Useful info on Online Shopping. I am still a bit of a dinosaur in this area, but free shipping seems like a good breakthrough and all other things being equal cashback sounds very good. Thanks for sharing. I might yet move into the current century !
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the great info. I would rather shop online then to go to a bunch of stories. I might even share this info worth my wife
ReplyDeleteI always love your information on saving money! I used to use Ebates a lot, but it's been a while now. I'll have to check out these resources.
ReplyDeleteHi all - glad I can share ways to help you save money. I'll keep searching for more tips and hopefully be able to pass on many more ways in the future..

Pity I live in Europe and can not benefit from buying from these sites:-)
ReplyDeleteHello
ReplyDeleteLenie
Another great post. I was excited to know about free shipping but I came to know that I can not shop from these sites. Sometimes when I come across very attractive offer then I add UK address , item is delivered there and when any family member visits me bring that with...
But it takes a lot of time and the charm is gone till then :(
I can refer to my family about all benefits. I do not think they know about cash back and free shipping.
Thank you for an informative post.
I've used freeshipping.com and Retailmenot.com before. Love them both especially Retailmenot for online coupon codes.
ReplyDeleteI keep telling myself I need to get better about finding online deals. Looks like that might finally happen with all the great posts you are putting out into the blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of these money-saving sites. I'll have to check them out.

I've gotten to the point where I am surprised by how much shopping I do on-line. I even bought my Mother of the Groom dress for our son's wedding on-line --- and it fit! I'll be bookmarking your site. I think 2014 should be the year I learn about saving money in more creative ways.
ReplyDeleteHi Lennie; thanks for sharing those sites with us. would you know if any of them offer a mobil version or a special version for people using screen readers. its often hard to tell unless you are using one. when i visit a site that has one, i will usually be prompted to use the more accessible version or i will find a link somewhere that says screen reader users click here. thanks again, Max
